Olsen's Agricultural Laboratory was started in January 1976 in Grant, NE by Bob and Connie Olsen. Bob did all the analytical work and marketing while Connie had the clerical responsibilities. In September 1976, the laboratory facility was moved to McCook, NE where it has remained in the same location at 210 East 1st Street. On November 1, 2007, Olsen's Laboratory was purchased by Kevin and Christine Grooms. Kevin has been employed at the lab since 1987 and has held the responsibilities of Chemist and Lab Manager. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the National Forage Testing Association. Christine has been employed by the lab since 2004 as an Analytical Chemist and is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). Prior to coming to Olsen's Lab, Christine worked at a Canadian Agricultural Testing Laboratory in Prince Edward Island for 17 years. Kevin and Christine are committed to carrying on the tradition of Olsen's Laboratory started 32 years ago. |
